Rachel

A recent migrant to southern California, Rachel embodies both stereotype and anomaly. Like so many Caifornians, she’s (proudly) eccentric and open-minded, and enjoys performing. Unlike the stereotypical anorexic Hollywoodite, however, she loves to eat. Tasty and unusual snackstuffs are a passion of hers — and her never-ending quest for unique eats is aided by her background in languages.

Rachel has discovered many a beloved food at L.A.’s ethnic markets. Some unusual snacking favorites include Pocky, Indian Sweets, and Mexican goodies from the local Panaderia. Despite all the interesting edibles nearby, Rachel must confess a love for the classics. At times, she finds there’s nothing like an old-fashioned cupcake, ice cream treat, or bag of Doritos to get her through the day.

When not working or embarking on her latest snack-quest, Rachel can frequently be found either at the local karaoke club or walking along the beach, mulling over ideas which later manifest as sketches and writings in nearby cafes. Although she’s penned poetry, lyrics and short stories since childhood, Snackerrific.com marks Rachel’s first foray into professional writing.
