As an obsessed snacker, I am constantly trying to control my habit by eating some of the healthier snacks. Although it doesn’t always work out this way, at least I can say I try.

Let me start off by saying that I’m used to eating ‘diet’ foods while people around me wonder why I could put something that tastes like cardboard into my mouth. I don’t taste the nastiness they describe, so I’m oblivious to the fact that some of the things I eat wouldn’t even excite my dog.

However, I recently had a chance to try out LesserEvil snacks and was pleasantly surprised.

I first tried out their Sweet and Salty All Natural Popcorn. It came in a variety of flavors:

Classic Kettle Corn: This had a very light taste and didn’t really taste like kettle corn to me. However, it did taste like caramel popcorn, which is way better in my book.

Peanut Butter and Choco Kettle Corn: I didn’t taste much peanut butter and once again the kettle corn tasted like caramel popcorn. I did end up eating the whole bag though, because the popcorn was light and fluffy and just kept gravitating toward my hand every time I stuck it in the bag.

Maple Pecan Kettle Corn: This popcorn had a taste and smell of maple syrup that was kind of strong. I was hoping for large pecans in here, but only saw little bits of them throughout the bag. Although, being low calorie and low fat, I can understand why the pecans weren’t gigantic.

Black and White Kettle Corn: This one was my favorite. I could taste the cocoa mixed with the classic popcorn, which kind of gave it a chocolaty caramel taste. The contents of this bag disappeared in mere seconds.

Next I decided to try out their Krinkle Sticks, which upon opening the packages looked like crinkle-cut fries.

Krinkle Sticks Classic Sea Salt: This one reminded me of a potato stick, only puffier. It had a light taste and was easy to shovel in my mouth.

Krinkle Sticks Sour Cream and Onion: This also had a light fluffy taste and reminded me of a Cheeto because it got stuck in my teeth…probably so I could savor the flavor longer.

Krinkle Sticks Old School Bar-B-Cue: I liked these because they were hot in my mouth and had a light barbecue flavor which wasn’t too strong. These tasted like barbecue potato chips. Yum.

Krinkle Sticks Zesty Pizza: These had a spicy taste like tacos and sort of tasted like a taco-fry, if there is such a thing. These weren’t too strong tasting and melted in my mouth as well.

I’d have to say out of all the LesserEvil snacks that I tried, the Black and White Kettle Corn was my favorite. It’s like the perfect snack when I’m craving something good and don’t want to consume a ton of calories. Dieters (and everyone else, too!) should look for these in stores. Definitely deserving of a snacking award.

Editor’s Note: When I first tried the Krinkle Sticks I thought the flavor was almost too mild and not quite salty enough. However, as I continued eating them, I realized that the flavor was, in fact, almost perfect. I ended up absolutely loving them; when the box was empty I was a sad person indeed. You definitely won’t go wrong with these!
